When considering “invisible dog fencing” of any brand, the special characteristics of your dog need to be taken into consideration if your dog is to be successfully contained.

What are these characteristic? What kind of dog is yours? These questions can be asked by dog owners in Atlanta, Marietta, Cumming, Alpharetta and are good questions before purchasing and underground dog fence.
1. High Ball Drive – Dogs characterized by a high ball drive are dogs that love to chase things that move. This could be as slow as people walking by alone or with their dogs or as fast as a child on a bike or skate board on the sidewalk out front of your property in your subdivision. These type dogs like to chase things even cars up and down your road. This type drive makes it a little more difficult to fence, but with good training Whispering Oaks Kennels and a Professional Installer any dog can be successfully contained in any underground dog fencing which is sometimes also called invisible fencing for dogs. If your dog exhibits this behavior and you have installation questions or already have a dog in a hidden dog fence who is getting out of his fence, feel free to give Mike Sinteff a call at (404)536-6770.
2. High Prey Drive – a high pray drive is even more difficult than a high ball drive, this dog desires to chase and catch or kill the cat, squirrel, chipmunk, bird or little dog. When the dog is in what is called “the red zone” their hearing is off, their eyes are peeled and their adrenaline is flowing. It takes quite a bit of pulse to turn a dog in this state. The dog must believe that it cannot get at the prey; he must be convinced in his mind that he is fenced. The installer is not always able to rely only on his collar strength or width of his fence especially in the case of a subdivision lot that is 1/3 to 1/2 acre. There must be the combination of good training, good installation and a strong collar for difficult stubborn dogs. Mike and Adam Sinteff have just the underground fence and training ability to handle any dog, in any yard, and with any temperament.
3. High aggression Issues – Dogs that are highly aggressive can be contained, but this system must be a state of the art containment system and the dog in question must be evaluated by a professional trainer who knows dogs and invisible dog fencing. There are dogs that should not be contained in an underground pet fence only, these dogs are too much of a liability for the owner. These dogs are actually dangerous and should be fenced into a traditional fence with a Pet Stop® of North Georgia Fence installed on top of the fence or in the ground beside the traditional fence. The traditional fence will slow the dog down and the Pet Stop® fence will keep the dog from digging under, jumping over or climbing over. Pet Stop of North Georgia collars can be programmed to go off for a full six seconds after the dog comes in contact with the pet fence. This kind of advanced technology is much needed in order to contain aggressive dogs. Mike Sinteff warns, “If the dog is a threat to get out of the fence the owner must not rely on the hidden dog fence only for containment the risk is too high”.
4. Climbers, diggers, & jumpers – Finally, comes the subject of dogs that climb, dig or jump over their traditional above ground dog fence. The Pet Sto® Brand Pet Containment system is ideal for keeping any dog fenced if he is in a traditional fence and digs under, climbs or jumps over. Pet Stop® is ideal for any yard that does not yet have a traditional fence. Pet Stop® dog fencing is about 1/10th the cost of traditional above ground fencing. With Pet Stop’s advanced fencing system, the fence width can be programmed from one foot wide to as much as sixty feet wide. No dog can dig deep enough, climb fast enough, or jump high enough to traverse a fence that is sixty feet wide let alone one that is even ten feet. Mike Sineff with Pet Stop of North Georgia is an expert in the area of difficult installations and difficult dogs; Mike guarantees his work, his fence, and your dog’s containment or he will refund 100% of your investment no questions asked and he will not ask you to give him a year to figure it all out. Give Mike and Adam a call today, you’ll be happy you did.
