Plexidor® electronic door provides security with access control for doors and walls.

The Plexidor® electronic door only opens for your pet while keeping other animals out. The collar key is an electronic RFID (radio frequency identification) that is attached to your pet’s collar. The door reads the key code as your dog approaches and if it recognizes the code, it slides up like a mini garage door, allowing access for your pet. You can program the key to accept just one of thousands of possible key codes, so it is very secure. When Mike Sinteff of Whispering Oaks Kennels was looking for another business to start in the Pet Care Industry, Pet Stop Brand  underground dog fencing immediately caught his eye because of the unsurpassed experience of its current and past officers. Mike and Adam have been installing underground electric dog fences for Pet Stop® in the Metro Atlanta Area and through out all the North Georgia area with their dealership Pet Stop of North Georgia a dealer ship that handles an area 50 miles North, South, East, and West of the North Georgia city of Atlanta. Mike would like to share a little of what he found when he began to “dig a little deeper”; what he found was a number of “Big Dogs” in the Pet Containment Industry and soon realized that the other Brands had to keep their “puppy tails” on the porch because they could not run with the “Big Dogs”.

How it all started the Pet Stop® story
     During the ‘70s and ‘80s, electronic pet containment was controlled by one company making one product. When the patent expired in 1989, the door was flung open for competitors.

Robert Slattery
     Most of these new companies merely copied the existing technology, but two entrepreneurs named Bob Slattery and Bob Wolfe, the founders of ReachUSA® and ValPak of Cincinnati®, saw a genuine opportunity to make something better, an entirely different kind of pet fencing product.

A Fresh Approach

James Deery

The correction our receiver sends to your dog is a mild static shock, nothing more. It has been thoroughly tested by engineers and veterinarians and likened to the shock received from touching a doorknob–not enough to harm, only to startle.

2.) Water resistant

I use to be a mouthing puppy – not anymore!

Mike Sinteff is a Dog behaviorist living in the North Atlanta Metro Area who runs Whispering Oaks Kennels  a professional Training Boarding Center and Pet Stop of North Georgia, an invisible dog fencing company. Mike states, “Puppies usually mouth in the excitement of play or for attention as they do in the context of the litter. This mouthing is also part of how they establish relationships and sence the world around then. This is a time when they are very playful, which with puppies seems to be all the time. As a Certified AKC Training Mike Reminds us, “An Exercised dog is a Happy Dog, so it is good if you can get your dog out for three or four hours per day in his underground electric dog fence; he will be safe there“. Mike also reminds us to, “keep plenty of water available for dogs that are outside for play time in the Summer.”
 Even though this mouth is natural for puppies, it is not acceptable behavior for a family dog so we must help the puppy see that this behavior must be changed. Training our puppy not to mouth, nip or bite does not mean you will change his happy personality.any The point is that he does not know that his friendly nip can hurt. The dog who nips is not pleasant to be around especially for children and older grandparents. Mike Sinteff specializes in working with young children and senior dog lovers through his two hour Train-the-Trainer session at the end of all board/training basic obedience programs. If you have children in the house, certainly you must train the puppy or dog not to nip even when the children provoke him and he nips in self-defense. The best time for this training is at about 12 weeks which is when this behavior begins to surface.

Remember mouthing, nipping and biting are normal actions for puppies who love to play; this is exactly what they do in the litter they just came from. Now that he has become part of a new litter. he needs to learn that licking is ok, but nor mouthing; this habit can be changed in one week or less with consistent, persistent corrections.  His mother and litter mates were his first teachers to tell him not to do this. Now that the puppy is living in your pack, you replace the interaction that the puppy would have had with the other puppies and dog. You must step in and continue with bite-inhibition training in a manner that is perceived as normal by your puppy.

Begin your training of your puppy by taking your index finger and thumb, clamping them around his nose, say, “no bit” in a loud authoritative voice and apply a little pressure until it is uncomfortable. Doing this each and every time your dog mouths you will, this will show him that this behavior will not be tolerated by you. Interact with your puppy normally, have fun, but be aware that your puppy needs a great deal of excercise, care and proper training.
